Hertz
HERTZ: Signals of the Void is a fast-paced, minimalist 2D wave-shaping puzzle runner. Instead of jumping or sliding a character, you directly manipulate a scrolling electrical sine wave across an analog CRT oscilloscope.
Tweak your Amplitude (height), compress or stretch your Frequency (cycles), and trigger instant Phase Flips to fit through approaching geometric apertures before your signal flatlines.
Key Features
Real-Time Signal Shaping: Directly manipulate mathematical waveform parameters—Height, Frequency, and Phase Polarity—in fluid 60 FPS vector gameplay.
Resonance Glass Shattering: Encounter high-frequency (Cyan) and low-frequency (Amber) glass barriers. Match your numeric frequency on the Sensor Axis to shatter them in a burst of glowing shards.
Overcharge Protection: Dialing your signal into extreme minimum or maximum frequencies gives you high-frequency shattering power, but holding it too long triggers Signal Overheat!
Target Silhouette Guides: Ghost wave guides inside active gates display your target shape. Lock onto the silhouette to activate a Harmonic Shield that protects your wave from scraping solid walls.
Interactive Web Audio Synth: The game’s soundtrack is directly generated by your waveform. High frequencies pitch up into chiptune leads, low frequencies rumble into deep sub-bass, and gate clears trigger chime harmonies.
4 Game Modes: Practice individual mechanics in Standard Gates, Moving Gates, or Glass Barriers modes, or test your endurance in Combined Survival Mode.
Cross-Platform Ready: Fully responsive design featuring physical-looking retro touch controls for mobile browsers, plus full Keyboard and Gamepad support.
Controls
